Hello publishing professionals of the future! Duckworth Books is offering a 2-week publishing work experience in our Richmond office available on a rolling basis. The work placement is hybrid with two days in the office (Monday and Wednesday) and candidates are welcome to work from the office at their discretion.
The work placement provides a learning opportunity across departments, including: Editorial, Production, Sales, Marketing and Publicity. You will attend our meetings across departments to get a sense of the work that goes into creating, planning and promoting books. We will offer a mix of activities for candidates to work on such as reader reports, marketing research, sales outreach, press copy dispatch, events pitching, office admin, etc.
